This project began as a personal passion sparked during the pandemic, when my close friends and I formed an online film club. We dove into films by directors like David Lynch, Claire Denis, and Wong Kar-wai—though, honestly, we often didn’t know what the hell we were talking about and leaned heavily on “cinematography” as a catch-all term. But learning the stories behind these brilliant directors, without any formal film education, inspired me to be bold and immerse myself in storytelling. That drive to explore led me to create a clothing line for other film enthusiasts.

INTRODUCTION
ORIGINS
The idea of cinema-inspired apparel took shape on Etsy, where I could bring together my love for film and design. Drawing inspiration from Criterion Collection films and fashion brands like Aime Leon Dore and Kith, I aimed to create unique pieces that resonate with those who see film as more than entertainment. With close to 400 sales in the first year, this project has grown into a small but dedicated community.
VISIONS FOR THE FUTURE
Looking ahead, I plan to transition from Etsy to an independent website, making it a platform that unites design and film in new ways. This next phase is about building a lasting brand and reaching a broader community of cinephiles and creatives.
